[Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/product/pet-preform?hsLang=en) is a strong, lightweight, and transparent thermoplastic polymer that belongs to the polyester family. It is widely used around the world in packaging applications, especially for food and beverage containers. PET is created through a polymerization process combining purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG), resulting in a durable material that can be easily molded into different shapes such as bottles, jars, and food trays.
