This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in local production, supply stability, and advanced industrial capability, reinforced by an [official government visit to Al-Mutahida Packaging](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/prime-minister-al-sudani-visits-al-mutahida-packaging?hsLang=en). Phase One centered on the installation of four state-of-the-art PET resin silos,Reaching nearly 45 meters in height and offering a combined storage capacity exceeding 4,000 tons, these silos stand as [one of the largest raw-material](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/largest-pet-raw-materials-factory-facility?hsLang=en) handling systems of their kind in the country. **Key Highlights** - Total PET Resin Capacity**:** 4,000+ tons - Silo Height: ~45 meters each ### **Building a Stronger Local Manufacturing Future** This achievement is more than a facility upgrade—it is a strategic leap toward an industrial ecosystem that is resilient, efficient, and less dependent on external supply chains. Through this development, Al-Mutahida Packaging aims to secure: - A stable, reliable, and continuous supply of PET resin to power our [preform production lines](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/product/pet-preform?hsLang=en) - Reduced reliance on imported materials and fluctuating international logistics - Greater cost efficiency and consistency for local manufacturers - Enhanced production planning to meet fast-changing market demands This investment aligns with Iraq’s wider vision for strengthening domestic industrial capacity and building a self-sustaining manufacturing base. ### **Toward a Fully Integrated PET Production Chain** With Phase One complete, the project now moves into the next stages—where resin processing, advanced automation, and end-to-end integration will take shape. These phases will unlock a seamless workflow: from resin storage, to processing, to final PET products ready for local and regional markets. #### What this means for our customers: - Faster lead times and higher operational agility - Greater product availability and flexibility - Enhanced quality control across every manufacturing stage - Stronger regional competitiveness backed by reliable supply ### Latest Posts [![How to Choose the Right Packaging for Your Production](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/hubfs/How%20to%20choose%20right%20packaging-1.jpg)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/how-to-choose-the-right-packaging-for-your-production?hsLang=en) [How to Choose the Right Packaging for Your Production](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/how-to-choose-the-right-packaging-for-your-production?hsLang=en) July 07,2026 [![PET Preform Manufacturing Process Explained](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/hubfs/photo%20resin%20(1).webp)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/the-manufacturing-process-of-pet-preforms-what-you-need-to-know?hsLang=en) [PET Preform Manufacturing Process Explained](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/the-manufacturing-process-of-pet-preforms-what-you-need-to-know?hsLang=en) February 27,2026 [![Why Is PET Used for Plastic Bottles?](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/hubfs/preform.jpg)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/why-is-pet-used-for-plastic-bottles?hsLang=en) [Why Is PET Used for Plastic Bottles?](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/why-is-pet-used-for-plastic-bottles?hsLang=en) February 27,2026 [![A Year of International Presence and Strong Partnerships](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/hubfs/Almutahida%20-%20Global.webp)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/almutahida-exhibition-participation-2025?hsLang=en) [A Year of International Presence and Strong Partnerships](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/almutahida-exhibition-participation-2025?hsLang=en) January 01,2026 [![Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani Visits Al-Mutahida Packaging, Praising Its Exceptional Industrial Capabilities](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/hubfs/Prime%20Minister%20Mohammed%20Shia%20Al-Sudani%20Visits%20Al-Mutahida%20Packaging.webp)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/prime-minister-al-sudani-visits-al-mutahida-packaging?hsLang=en) [Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani Visits Al-Mutahida Packaging, Praising Its Exceptional Industrial Capabilities](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/prime-minister-al-sudani-visits-al-mutahida-packaging?hsLang=en) December 17,2025 ## Related Articles [![Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani Visits Al-Mutahida Packaging](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/hs-fs/hubfs/Prime%20Minister%20Mohammed%20Shia%20Al-Sudani%20Visits%20Al-Mutahida%20Packaging.webp?width=352&name=Prime%20Minister%20Mohammed%20Shia%20Al-Sudani%20Visits%20Al-Mutahida%20Packaging.webp)](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/prime-minister-al-sudani-visits-al-mutahida-packaging?hsLang=en) #### [Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani Visits Al-Mutahida Packaging, Praising Its Exceptional Industrial Capabilities](https://www.almutahida.com.iq/blogs/prime-minister-al-sudani-visits-al-mutahida-packaging?hsLang=en) In a notable achievement reflecting the continuous development of Iraq’s industrial sector, The...
